Teens Held After Brutal Assault in Petersfield

Two boys, aged just 14 and 15, were locked up this morning following a savage attack on an 18-year-old in Petersfield. The incident happened between 7.20pm and 7.40pm on Thursday, May 9, in a field called High Meadow on Buckmore Avenue.

Suspects in Custody

Both suspects, local lads from Petersfield, have been arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning grievous bodily harm. The victim, also from Petersfield, was rushed to hospital and is currently undergoing assessment.

Police Appeal for Witnesses

East Hampshire Inspector Pete Parkes said: “We believe this to be an isolated incident. Arrests have been made and legal proceedings are underway. We urge the public to avoid spreading rumours on social media about this case or those involved.”
