Brutal Boots Attack in Wantage: Staff Member Kicked in the Face During £1,000 Theft

Just before 1pm on Saturday 27th February, two men stormed into the Boots store on Market Place, Wantage. They shoved over £1,000 worth of facial creams into a rucksack and tried to walk out without paying.

Violent Confrontation Leaves Staff Hurt

A staff member challenged the thieves, sparking a violent scuffle. The offenders responded by kicking the employee in the head and face. The victim suffered a suspected broken nose, cuts, swelling, and bruising around the eyes.

Paramedics treated the injured worker at the scene, but hospital was not required.

Police Appeal for Help to Catch the Violent Thieves

“I am releasing these images of two people who I believe may have important information that can assist my investigation into this incident,” said PC Jamie Gosling of Wantage police station.

“Anyone who recognises these men should contact police on 101, quoting reference number 43210083009, or report it online. Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
