Toddler Trapped Under Car in Nottingham Crash

A three-year-old boy was trapped under a car in Foster Avenue at 9.26am today but escaped serious injury, police have confirmed. Emergency crews rushed to the scene after the shocking collision.

Boy Freed and Taken to Hospital

Police officers quickly freed the toddler and rushed him to hospital for treatment. He will remain overnight for observation but is expected to recover.

79-Year-Old Driver Arrested

The driver, a 79-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of driving without due care and attention. He remains in police custody as inquiries continue.

Police Update and Appeal

“Understandably this incident has caused a huge amount of concern, but I am pleased to report that the child involved appears safe and well,” said Detective Constable Chris Taylor of Nottinghamshire Police. “His family have been through an extremely upsetting ordeal and have requested that their privacy be respected.”

The police cordon has now been lifted. Anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting incident number 145 of 20 December.
