Cyclist Killed in Horror Lorry Crash on Old Kent Road
A 53-year-old cyclist has died after a brutal collision with a lorry on Old Kent Road, South Bermondsey, on Tuesday evening, December 5th. The smash happened near the junction with St James Road at around 6.36pm.
Emergency Services Rush to Scene but Victim Dies
Metropolitan Police officers discovered the man seriously injured and paramedics from the Ambulance Service gave emergency first aid. Sadly, the cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. His family have been informed and officers are now investigating the tragic crash.
Lorry Driver Co-operating – Police Hunt Witnesses
The lorry driver stopped to help and hasn’t been arrested. Police are appealing for anyone with information, especially those with dashcam footage, to get in touch. A Met Police spokesperson said:
