Tragedy in Bolton-le-Sands: Father and Son Killed in Building Site Horror
A second man has died following a shocking accident in Bolton-le-Sands. Craig Peck, 43, suffered severe injuries while working on a building site at Church Brow on Monday, February 8th.
He was rushed to hospital but tragically passed away yesterday, February 17th. His son, Liam Peck, 23, was also killed at the scene.
Close-Knit Father and Son Duo
The Peck family are devastated. Craig and Liam shared a close, loving bond and were best friends as well as father and son.
“Craig and Liam had a close and loving relationship and considered each other as best friends,” a family member said. “They spent a lot of time together. Liam, although talented in cooking, loved building and enjoyed working alongside his dad.”
Liam: The Life and Soul
Liam was well-known and loved in the community. He was the life and soul of any occasion, always making people laugh and enjoy themselves.
He and his childhood sweetheart ran Charlie’s Café Bar in Kendal – Liam’s pride and joy. The café was his dream, and as a gifted chef, he brought joy through his food. Family and friends have vowed to keep the restaurant alive in his memory.
Family Left Heartbroken
Craig leaves behind a wife and three other sons, all shattered by this horrific loss.
“We are grateful for all the messages but cannot respond right now,” the family said. “This tragedy will stay with us forever. We are struggling to comprehend what lies ahead.”
Investigations are ongoing. The Health and Safety Executive is working with police as they probe the cause of the incident.
