Two Men Arrested After High-Speed Chase Ends in Crash in Tottenham
In the early hours today, a dramatic police pursuit through Tottenham ended in a fiery crash—but both suspects are now in custody.
Police Chase Ends in Collision
At around 3:40am, officers spotted a suspicious vehicle on Phillip Lane, N17 and attempted to stop it. The driver ignored police signals and fled, sparking a fast chase through the streets.
The pursuit came to a halt on West Green Road when the car smashed into a roundabout on Downhills Park Road and crashed through a metal gate.
Two Men Arrested, One Treated at Scene
- The 46-year-old driver was nabbed on suspicion of multiple traffic offences and handling stolen goods.
- The 50-year-old passenger, wanted for failing to appear in court previously, was also arrested.
- Both men were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and have since been released, but remain in police custody.
- A 40-year-old third man was treated at the scene and released with no further action.
Road Reopens as Investigation Continues
Road closures caused by the crash were lifted by 9:30am, but police enquiries are ongoing.
