Warning for Samsung users: Delete these 5 apps now! Android owners, especially those with Samsung Galaxy phones, are urged to remove five malicious apps immediately. These apps, once available on the Google Play Store, harbour the dangerous Anatsa malware — a Trojan that can hijack your device and steal cash directly from your bank accounts.

What is Anatsa and why Samsung users are at risk

Anatsa is a vicious Trojan virus known for remote control capabilities, including sneaky bank withdrawals. Cybersecurity experts at Threat Fabric have flagged these apps as “critical” threats, targeting Samsung devices specifically. The malware’s code exploits flaws in Samsung’s user interface, making Galaxy users prime targets for hackers.

Google pulls apps but danger remains

The five infected apps have been removed from the Google Play Store, but anyone who installed them is still vulnerable. Google says its Play Protect system — turned on by default in most devices — can block or warn against known malicious apps, but experts advise not to wait. Delete the apps ASAP to avoid being caught out.

“Google Play Protect can warn users or block apps known to exhibit malicious behaviour, even when those apps come from sources outside of Play,” a Google spokesperson confirmed.
