Armed Police Chase Ends in Head-On Crash with London Bus in Hackney
A dramatic police pursuit in Hackney came to a crashing halt when a getaway vehicle slammed head-on into a packed London bus on Median Road just before midnight on Tuesday.
Suspect Refuses to Stop, Ploughs Into Bus
Armed officers from the Met Police ordered the driver to stop, but the vehicle sped off instead. The chase ended violently as the suspect’s car collided with the N242 bus, causing significant damage to both vehicles.
Driver and Passengers Arrested, No Injuries Reported
Police quickly moved in to arrest the driver and passengers. All were taken to Hormeton Hospital for checks before being held in custody. Miraculously, no one on the bus or in the vehicle was hurt.
Road Closures Cause Chaos in Hackney
