Two Pedestrians Injured in Early Morning City Centre Crash
A man and woman were rushed to hospital after being hit by a vehicle in Birmingham’s City Centre at 3.38am today (Thursday).
Ambulance Rush to Holloway Circus Queensway
West Midlands Ambulance Service scrambled three ambulances, two paramedic officers, a MERIT trauma doctor, and a critical care paramedic to the scene after several 999 calls flooded in.
Serious Injuries in Vehicle Collision
A spokeswoman for the ambulance service said: “When ambulance staff arrived, they found two pedestrians – a man and a woman – reportedly involved in a collision with a vehicle.”
“The man was in a serious condition. Paramedics delivered advanced trauma care before rushing him, sirens blaring, to Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham. The woman suffered serious injuries too. After treatment on scene, she was also taken by ambulance under blue lights to the same hospital for urgent care.”
