Cyclist Killed on Borstall Hill

Kent Police were called just before 7am on Wednesday, 4 August 2021, after a cyclist suffered serious injuries on Borstall Hill, Whitstable. Despite emergency crews’ efforts, the 50-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

What Happened?

The man was one of three cyclists riding down Borstall Hill on a green and black bike when he veered off the road near the junction with Joy Lane. The circumstances leading to the crash remain under investigation.

Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward

Officers from Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) are appealing for anyone who saw the incident or has dashcam footage to get in touch. This is vital to help piece together what happened.
