Multi-Agency Rescue Operation
Just before 7pm on Thursday, two coastguard search and rescue teams from Ventnor and Needles swung into action. They were joined by the Coastguard Helicopter, Isle of Wight Fire & Rescue service, and Co-responders to launch a major recovery effort.
Woman Airlifted to Hospital
Rescuers swiftly recovered the woman from the cliff area. She was then airlifted by the coastguard helicopter to hospital for urgent treatment.
