Man Stabbed to Death Outside King’s College Hospital
Tragedy struck early on Saturday at King’s College Hospital, Denmark Hill, when a man in his 20s was found suffering stab wounds outside the building just before 5am.
According to police, the victim was driven to the hospital by a friend after being attacked on Clapham High Street around 4:45am. Officers at the hospital quickly administered first aid before paramedics took over, but the man sadly died shortly after arriving.
Investigation Launched as Family Left Devastated
Detective Inspector Matt Denby, leading the probe, said: “Our investigation is at an early stage, but I believe the victim was stabbed on Clapham High Street in the early hours. My thoughts are with his family and friends. We are fully committed to catching the person responsible and bringing them to justice.”
The victim’s family have been informed and are receiving specialist support. A post-mortem confirmed death was caused by stab wounds.
Man Arrested Over Fatal Stabbing
Police arrested a 27-year-old man in Lambeth on Saturday evening on suspicion of murder. He remains in custody as the investigation continues.
