A tragic incident occurred in Walsall when a man in his 50s was fatally struck by a lorry. The accident took place on Leamore Lane, a service road adjoining Bloxwich Road in Bloxwich, just after 10:30am
Despite immediate medical attention, the pedestrian succumbed to his injuries at the scene. West Midlands Ambulance Service confirmed that the man had suffered serious injuries and received advanced life support treatment. Unfortunately, efforts to save him were unsuccessful.
The driver of the lorry involved in the incident remained at the scene and is cooperating with the police investigation. West Midlands Police informed that the man’s family had been notified of the tragic event and that officers are currently reviewing CCTV footage as part of their ongoing inquiry into the circumstances of the collision.
According to the ambulance service, the lorry driver did not require any medical treatment following the incident.
