Knife-Wielding Scissors Attack Rocks Dartford Shopping Centre!
Kent Police have launched a probe after a dramatic assault at the Priory Shopping Centre in Dartford on Thursday, 27 March 2025. A man was reportedly slashed with scissors in a shocking midday attack.
Scissors Assault Sparks Chaos at Priory Shopping Centre
The violent confrontation unfolded around 12:40pm when a man armed with scissors stabbed another male victim during a tense altercation inside the busy shopping mall.
Security staff sprang into action, quickly restraining the attacker before Kent Police officers arrived and made an arrest at the scene.
Victim Suffers Head and Finger Injuries
The injured man was rushed to hospital with wounds to his head and finger. Thankfully, police say his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
Suspect Charged and Remanded
- Bassan Biro, 24, from Gillingham High Street, has been charged with attempted wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm
- Possession of an offensive weapon
- Affray
Biro was remanded in custody and is due to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 28 March.
Investigation Ongoing as Police Seek Public Help
“Officers were called at around 12.40pm to reports of an assault at the Priory Shopping Centre. A man was arrested at the scene and later charged. We continue to carry out enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident.” – Kent Police spokesperson
