Two men were arrested in separate booze-driving busts in Nottinghamshire within minutes of each other this week.
Double Drink-Drive Arrests in One Night
Officers’ suspicions were raised after spotting two vans being driven erratically, possibly under the influence. Around 10.30pm on Thursday 8 December, police stopped a man on Southwell Road East, Rainworth. A breath test confirmed he was over the legal limit, leading to his immediate arrest. The 38-year-old remains in custody as inquiries continue.
Just 15 minutes later, another driver was caught on Mansfield Road, Blidworth. The 36-year-old man was arrested for the same offence and has now been charged. The arrests come amid a national crackdown targeting drink and drug driving. Nottinghamshire Police are blitzing the region, aiming to make roads safer for everyone.

Police Issue Stark Warning to Motorists
“Anyone who gets behind the wheel after drinking or taking drugs endangers lives – not just their own but other road users too,” said Sergeant Jonny Groves.
“If we suspect someone is driving under the influence, they will be breathalysed, and we will take action.”
