Kent Police Launch Festive Safety Hub in Ramsgate
Kent Police and partner agencies are urging revellers to celebrate safely this Christmas. A new late-night hub on Ramsgate seafront will offer advice and support throughout December to keep the festive season trouble-free.
Support On Hand for a Safe Night Out
Officers from the Thanet Community Safety Unit are running the hub, alongside groups like Global Generation and Street Pastors. Visitors can get help with issues ranging from loneliness to responsible drinking. There are also top tips on keeping your phone and bag safe during nights out.
More Police Patrols to Keep Ramsgate Safe
High-visibility police patrols have been stepped up in key areas across Ramsgate throughout December to deter any trouble.
“While it is the season to be merry, we are asking revellers to make sure their night out is enjoyable and trouble-free, for them and for others,” said PC Justin Carter from the Thanet Community Safety Unit.
“Alcohol-related crime and disorder won’t be tolerated. We want people to consider their actions and the impact on local residents. Know your limits. Our hub, together with partner agencies, is here to keep Ramsgate safe this season.”
The festive safety hub opened on Friday 7 December and will be open every Friday and Saturday night until Christmas.
