High-Speed Chase Ends in Arrest After Stolen Car Drama
Kent Police sprang into action just before midnight on Sunday, April 2, 2023, after a vehicle was reported stolen from Cedar Road, Strood.
Thief Tracked to A2 Near Dartford
Officers traced the stolen car speeding along the A2 towards the Dartford River Crossing. Just 15 minutes after the alert, patrols caught up with the vehicle as it crawled to a stop in heavy traffic. The Roads Policing Unit swooped in and arrested the 39-year-old driver from Gravesend on suspicion of theft.
Drunk Driving Charge Adds to the Trouble
Breath tests revealed the man was over the legal alcohol limit, leading to an additional charge of drunk driving. He has since been released on police bail while investigations continue.
