  The resident paid for a service to help him renew his driving licence. He gave a lot of his personal information including his mothers maiden name and passport details. He used the link rather than the gov.uk website. After the transaction he realised he was to be charged £89 every 3 months. When renewing a driving licence, always complete the application on the GOV.UK website: https://bit.ly/3BbD8W3, renewal costs start at £14❕ Report scams to Action Fraud on 0300 123 2040, or get free scams advice from Citizens Advice on 0808 223 1133.
