Teen Duo Charged with Double Murder of Two 16-Year-Olds in South London
Two teenagers will face court over the brutal murders of Charlie Bartolo and Kearne Solanke, both aged 16. The accused, a 16-year-old boy and a 15-year-old boy, are set to appear at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 2 December.
Fatal Stabbings Rock Abbey Wood and Thamesmead
Police were called at 5.10pm on Saturday, 26 November after reports of two stabbing incidents at separate spots – Sewell Road, Abbey Wood and Titmuss Avenue, Thamesmead.
- Charlie Bartolo was found at Sewell Road with stab wounds.
- Kearne Solanke was discovered at Titmuss Avenue, also suffering stab injuries.
Emergency crews from London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance rushed to the scenes, but tragically neither boy survived.
Met’s Specialist Crime Command Launch Murder Probe
Detectives are now working around the clock to piece together what happened. The Met’s Specialist Crime Command is leading the investigation into these shocking killings.
“Despite the best efforts of the emergency services, both boys sadly died,” police said.
The community remains in shock as the legal process begins for the two teenage suspects.
