A 95-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a carer died from head injuries in north London.
Carer Dies After Head Injuries in Islington
Police were alerted at 7:10am on Thursday, 24 May, when a 61-year-old woman was rushed to a hospital in Islington suffering serious head injuries. Sadly, she passed away the following morning at 10:57am on Friday, 25 May. Her family have been informed.
Arrest Made Amid Murder Inquiry
Authorities believe the injuries happened at the residential address where the woman worked as a carer. A 95-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder. He remains in hospital due to existing health issues and will be transferred to a suitable care facility before any further action.
Police Investigate, No Other Suspects
Detectives from the Central North Command Unit are leading the investigation. Officers have confirmed they are not seeking anyone else in connection with the case. The man has been bailed as inquiries continue.
