Border Force Insider Caught Helping Prison Drug Gangs
Jade Hearn, 26, who worked with the Border Force Joint Anti-Corruption Intelligence Team, has been nailed for aiding criminals from behind bars. She secretly communicated with at least four inmates using illegal phones smuggled into prison.
Leaked Sensitive Docs and Drug Payment Tips
Hearn sent images of sensitive documents revealing criminal records and details of drug smugglers held in custody. She even shared a video showing drugs seized at 123, using her bank account to funnel money for the traffickers. In one message, she advised, “don’t put it all in one go,” urging offenders to split payments to avoid detection.
Suspended Jail Term for Corrupt Officer
The probe uncovered Hearn’s wrongdoing while she worked at 123 Crown Court. She was sentenced to 20 months in prison, suspended for two years — allowing her to avoid immediate jail but stay under tight watch.
Crackdown on Corruption at Ports and Airports
The National Crime Agency warned that groups targeting insiders at ports and airports thrive on access and inside knowledge. “Stamping out corruption across all law enforcement is a top priority,” said an NCA spokesperson, highlighting the ongoing battle to keep borders secure.
