Pervert Caught Arranging to Meet 13-Year-Old Girl
David Kemp, 40, was sentenced at Maidstone Crown Court on 1 November 2023 after he admitted arranging a child sex offence and attempting sexual communication with a child.
Arrested at Train Station
Kent Police’s Paedophile Online Investigation Team swooped on Kemp at Strood Train Station on 13 April 2022. He had travelled to Medway to meet a girl he believed was just 13 years old.
Shocking Online Chats and Explicit Images
Between 4 and 13 April 2022, Kemp engaged in sexually explicit conversations online and sent disturbing images to the alleged girl. When he showed up for the arranged meeting, officers arrested him on the spot.
Detective Warns of Kemp’s Danger
“We proactively target people who seek to commit sexual offences against children and, in this case, the evidence was overwhelming,” said Detective Constable Lise Roots.
“By travelling to a prearranged meeting, Kemp has shown he poses a significant risk to children. The prison sentence is entirely justified. He will also be subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order on release.”
