Shocking reports have emerged from a Hampshire sports facility where several hedgehogs were found dead, victims of brutal abuse. Concerned locals alerted authorities after discovering the poor creatures had suffered a painful and inhumane fate.
Hampshire Hedgehog Rescue Speaks Out
The Hampshire Hedgehog Rescue Centre slammed the cruelty, calling it “utterly tragic and criminal.”
“To think anyone would harm these defenceless hedgehogs – whose numbers are already plunging – is simply horrifying,” said a centre spokesperson. “As hedgehogs emerge from hibernation, they’re desperate for food and water. To hurt them for pleasure is disgusting!”
Local Sports Facility Responds
Hiltingbury Sports Centre confirmed the distressing news.
“We’ve had reports of hedgehogs being beaten and kicked on our fields,” a spokesperson revealed. “Locals were horrified to find the dead animals. Our groundsmen cleared the area, but it’s heartbreaking that anyone would treat wildlife this way.”
“Please, respect the creatures we share this woodland with,” they added.
