Tragic crash on Nechells Parkway claims young man’s life
Fatal collision at 5.15pm
Police rushed to Nechells Parkway just after 5.15pm on May 1 following a serious crash. Emergency services, including fire and ambulance teams, teamed up at the scene.
Passenger pronounced dead at scene
The victim was a passenger in a white Audi SQ5. Despite paramedics’ efforts, he was pronounced dead on the spot. The driver and another rear-seat passenger suffered minor injuries and were taken to hospital.
Police launch urgent appeal for witnesses
Detective Sergeant Paul Hughes of the serious collision investigation unit said:
“We are in the early stages of our investigation. A young man has sadly died, and specially trained officers are supporting his family during this tough time.
“We urge anyone with information or dash cam footage of the crash or the moments leading up to it to come forward. Your help is vital to understand exactly what happened.”
