Birmingham Stabbing Horror: Man Charged with Murder and Attempted Murder

A 27-year-old man has been charged with murder and seven counts of attempted murder after a brutal stabbing spree in Birmingham city centre on Sunday.

Zephaniah McLeod Faces Serious Charges

The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) confirmed it authorised West Midlands Police to charge Zephaniah McLeod following months of investigation.

“This decision was made following careful consideration of the evidence presented to us by West Midlands Police as a result of their ongoing investigation,” said Suzanne Llewellyn, Deputy Chief Crown Prosecutor of CPS West Midlands.

“Our thoughts remain with the families and friends of the victims affected in this incident.”

Next Steps: Court Appearance Scheduled

McLeod is due to appear at Birmingham Magistrates’ Court tomorrow, 9 September 2020, where the case will proceed.
