Pervert Cop Filmed Staff in Toilet

The sick crimes were uncovered after Greater Manchester Police’s (GMP) Professional Standards Branch (PSB) launched an investigation following a complaint. Officers found 11 disturbing videos on Janga’s mobile phone. These clips showed Janga secretly filming inside a staff toilet on GMP premises multiple times between September and October 2017.

All victims were police staff members, who have now been informed. Janga’s actions have left the force reeling and trust damaged.

Harsh Sentence and Long-Term Restrictions

  • 18-month community order imposed
  • Five-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) delivered
  • Required to register as a sex offender for five years
  • Mobile phone confiscated under forfeiture order

GMP Chief Inspector Condemns Behaviour

Detective Chief Inspector Dave Jones of GMP’s PSB said: “Both Greater Manchester Police and the public expect officers and staff members to maintain the highest standards of behaviour.

“As soon as PSB received the complaint, Janga was suspended and a robust investigation was launched.

“We found that Janga had disregarded these expectations and behaved in a completely unacceptable manner – secretly filming colleagues in the toilet to fulfil his sexual desires.

“This sentencing will be shortly followed by a misconduct hearing. This is normal procedure and will be led by PSB.

“I’d like to remind the people of Greater Manchester that GMP’s Professional Standards Branch is committed to maintaining their trust and confidence by dealing with issues, such as this, openly and robustly.”
