No Fixed Address Drug Dealer Banged Up for Brutal Unprovoked Punch-Up

Tye Chetter, 23, a no fixed address troublemaker, was slammed with a hefty sentence at Maidstone Crown Court on 11 February 2021. He pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply crack cocaine and heroin — and to a vicious assault.

Spotted Peddling Drugs in Gravesend

On 2 July 2019, Chetter was caught red-handed driving onto Cecil Road in Gravesend. He chatted with a known drug user before police swooped. A quick search revealed his mobile phone packed with drug-related messages and a stash of cash.

At the police station, a further search uncovered hidden crack cocaine and heroin on him.

Brutal, Unprovoked Assault in Rochester

Just weeks later, on 21 July, Chetter was caught on CCTV launching a savage attack on an innocent man in Blue Boar Lane, Rochester. At around 3am, he punched the victim three times — even as the man tried to flee.

The victim suffered multiple facial fractures and was rushed to hospital.

PC Liam O’Neill said: “This was a nasty assault which was unprovoked and unnecessary. With the CCTV evidence, it was clear he was involved. His total sentence reflects the gravity of his offending for both criminal offences and I hope the outcome acts as a deterrent to others.”
