Drug Dealer Caught Red-Handed Flushing Class A Drugs in St Neots ‘Cuckooed’ Home
Police Raid Uncovers Crack Cocaine, Heroin, and Cash
Neighbourhood officers acted on tip-offs about a man being used by drug dealers in Marquis Close, St Neots. On 4 March, they stormed the property and found 23-year-old Raheem Cameron desperately trying to flush class A drugs down the toilet.
A thorough search revealed 46 wraps of crack cocaine, 18 wraps of cocaine, six wraps of heroin, cash, a mobile phone, and various drug paraphernalia hidden inside the home.
Cameron Jailed for 7½ Years at Cambridge Crown Court
Last week at Cambridge Crown Court, Cameron, who has no fixed address, was slammed with a hefty seven-and-a-half-year prison sentence. He had previously admitted possession with intent to supply both cocaine and heroin.
‘Cuckooing’ – A Sinister Drug Trick
Detective Constable Alan Tregilgas said, “There was no legitimate reason for Cameron to be in this house. We believe he was ‘cuckooing’ – tricking or coercing the occupant into letting a drug dealer stay in their home.”
“It’s a despicable practice often targeting vulnerable people with addictions, sometimes using threats or intimidation.”
Police Urge Public to Report Suspicious Activity
Detective Tregilgas added: “The public play a vital role in disrupting county lines drug crime. We urge anyone seeing suspicious behaviour to come forward and report it to us.”
