Police Bust Massive Cannabis Grow in Worksop Home

Officers raided a John Street house in Worksop early Thursday and uncovered a massive haul of around 70 cannabis plants scattered through several rooms.

Drugs and Equipment Seized

The stash was seized, and a range of electrical equipment used to cultivate the plants was destroyed by police.

Man Remanded After Court Appearance

Rafael Cobaj, 28, from John Street, was charged with producing cannabis. He appeared at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on 10 March and was remanded in custody.

Inspector Calls for Public Help

“Drug-related crime is a blight on our communities and we are working hard to disrupt this harmful and exploitative trade,” said Inspector Hayley Crawford, Bassetlaw district commander.

“To do this effectively we need information from members of the public so I urge anyone who is concerned about activity on their street to let us know about it.”
