Maidstone Man Busted After Threatening Staff

The Maidstone Victim Based Crime Team launched an investigation following the alarming incidents. Darren Turpin, 55, from Marsham Street, was arrested on 9 November.

Assault and Weapons Charges Laid

Turpin faces three counts of assault and breaching a criminal behaviour order. Police also charged him with seven counts of possessing offensive weapons, including homemade metal throwing stars (shurikens) found at his home.

Not Guilty Plea and Court Date Set

On 10 November, Turpin appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court and pleaded not guilty to all charges. He was remanded in custody ahead of a hearing scheduled for 15 November.
