Brutal Staffordshire Robbery Gang Nabbed and Jailed
Three ruthless criminals have been locked up for a combined 34 years following a horrific robbery in Burslem, Staffordshire. The trio were sentenced at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on Thursday 17 November after a meticulous investigation by Staffordshire Police.
Masked Gang Terrorise Woman in Petrol Attack
On 26 May 2022, a woman at her home on 1 Road, Burslem, was horrified when Shane Lee Salmon, 26, of Coventry, knocked on her door asking for her partner. When she said he wasn’t home, Salmon’s accomplices forced their way inside wearing masks.
The victim was violently attacked. She was grabbed and had petrol-drenched material stuffed in her mouth. She was punched and kicked repeatedly before petrol was poured over her head and face. During the nightmare, Roxanne Chelsea Gallagher, 35, was heard shouting, “Get a lighter!” leaving the victim fearing for her life.
Thrown against a staircase wall and pepper-sprayed in the face by Hayley Karen Bartlett, 30, the woman suffered five facial fractures and multiple bruises.
Looters Steal Laptops, Phones, Designer Goods and Car
The gang didn’t stop at assault. They stole a laptop, two iPhones, a designer purse, two necklaces, a watch, and the victim’s car keys.
The nightmare continued the next day when Salmon held another woman at knifepoint and stole her car. He and Bartlett were caught later that day on the M6 and promptly charged.
