Man Charged with Murder After East London Stabbing
Asim Hasan, 32, from Burrard Road, E16, was charged with murder in the early hours of Friday, 20 May.
Swift Court Appearance
Hasan appeared at Thames Magistrates’ Court later that day. He was remanded in custody and is due to appear at the Old Bailey on Thursday, 26 May.
Fatal Stabbing Shocks Burrard Road
The drama unfolded after police received a call at 6:24am on Thursday, 19 May, reporting a stabbing at a residential property in Burrard Road, E16. Officers arrived alongside paramedics from the Ambulance Service.
A 34-year-old woman was found with stab wounds. Sadly, despite urgent medical attention, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Family Supported by Police
Her family have been informed and are receiving support from specially trained officers.
