Man Charged After Officers Attacked in Barnet Drugs Raid

A 32-year-old man faces serious charges after police officers were injured during a drugs raid in Barnet.

Corrosive Attack and Drug Conspiracy Charges

Armando Gjyla, from Southgate, has been charged with throwing corrosive fluid with intent to maim, disfigure, disable, or cause grievous bodily harm. He’s also accused of conspiracy to supply Class B drugs.

Gjyla is set to appear at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, 14 October.

Raid Incident Leaves Another Man Hospitalised

The charges follow a drugs warrant executed by officers at Dale Close, Barnet, on 23 September. A 21-year-old man arrested during the raid remains in hospital receiving treatment.
