Man Seriously Injured in Brutal Assault at Kent Road Junction

A violent attack erupted just after 5pm on Thursday, 3 August 2023, at the busy junction of Noakes Meadow and Oak Tree Road.

Police Called After Man Targeted by Group

Kent Police raced to the scene following reports that a man was assaulted by another male after an altercation involving a group. The victim, a man in his 40s, suffered serious injuries.

Emergency responders from the South East Coast Ambulance Service rushed him to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Investigation Underway – Police Seek Witnesses

Detectives are probing the shocking assault and have urged anyone who witnessed the attack or has CCTV or dashcam footage to come forward. Witnesses should call 01843 222289, quoting reference 46/139331/23.

Suspect Charged, Court Date Set

Daniel Findlay, 40, from Chart Road, Ashford, has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent and criminal damage after allegedly smashing a mobile phone during the incident.

Findlay has been granted bail and is due to appear at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 16 November.
