Man Charged With Attempted Murder After Route 50 Bus Stabbing

Suspect Held After Shocking Bus Attack

Monior Saleh, 35, from Verran Road, SW12, has been charged with attempted murder and possession of a knife. The charge comes after a stabbing on a Route 50 bus in Streatham last week.

Incident on Streatham High Road

The stabbing happened at around 2:25pm on 21 December. Police rushed to Streatham High Road, SW16, following reports that a man had been stabbed aboard the bus.

Victim’s Condition Stable

Officers found a man in his 50s with stab wounds. He was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital. His injuries are not life-threatening, police confirmed.

Suspect in Custody

Saleh was remanded in custody and was due to appear at South 1 Magistrates’ Court on 23 December. The investigation continues as police piece together what sparked the attack.
