Adrian Popa, 39, with no fixed address, has been charged with the attempted murder of a police officer in Barnet. The charge came on Monday, 17 August, following a shocking attack the day before.

Brave Officer Targeted in Broad Daylight

On Sunday 16 August at around 10:25am, a female police officer was stabbed in the face with a pen on Manor Park Crescent, Edgware. She was rushed to hospital but has since been discharged.

Popa is set to appear at Willesden Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, 18 August. The North West BCU’s Criminal Investigation Department is leading the probe into this alarming incident.
