Man Charged with Croydon Murder
Arturas Ptickinas, 28, from Norwood High Street, SE27, has been charged with the murder of Mauricio ‘Maurice’ Nascimento from Croydon. He is set to appear at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court today (Wednesday, 20 October).
Victim Found Dead on New Park Road
Police were called by the London Ambulance Service around 6.55am on 12 July to New Park Road, SW2. Officers discovered the body of Mr Nascimento at the scene.
Cause of Death and Investigation Update
A special post-mortem at Greenwich Mortuary revealed the provisional cause of death as multiple injuries. Three other men were previously arrested in connection with the murder but have since been released with no further action.
