Man Charged with Murder After Fatal Lea Bridge Stabbing
Arrest Made After Sunday Evening Stabbing
Kieran McHugh, 30, of Lea Bridge Road, E10, has been charged with murder following a deadly stabbing. He was arrested on Monday, 23 August, and is set to appear in custody at Thames Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, 25 August.
Police Called to Stabbing Incident
Officers responded at 4.30pm on Sunday, 22 August, after reports of a man stabbed at a property on Lea Bridge Road. Emergency services found 32-year-old Abdi with serious stab wounds. He was rushed to hospital but sadly later died.
Investigation Underway
A post-mortem on Tuesday, 24 August, confirmed the cause of death as stab injuries. The Met’s Specialist Crime Command homicide detectives have launched a full investigation. Enquiries remain ongoing.
