Young Man Found Guilty of Brutal Stockwell Stabbing

Jacob Koutouan, 22, from Stockwell Road SW9, has been found guilty of murder at Croydon Crown Court. The verdict came on Tuesday, 2 March, after a chilling attack left Jaden dead on the same street.

Chased and Stabbed 12 Times in Senseless Attack

On 15 September 2020, London Ambulance Service alerted police around 2:50pm after Jaden was found with multiple stab wounds. Paramedics fought to save him at the scene on Stockwell Road, but he died before help could arrive.

A post-mortem confirmed Jaden was stabbed repeatedly in the torso.

Family Mourns “Vibrant Soul” Lost Too Soon

“Jaden was an amazing and intelligent soul with so much life and passion to give,” said the family. “He was a victim of a senseless attack that cruelly ended his hopes and dreams.”

“He wasn’t involved with gangs and was actually scared of the violence that comes with them. Jaden had just started a new job with Deliveroo days before and was accepted onto a construction course on the day he died. He dreamed of launching his own clothing line.”

“Jaden was the life of every room and adored by his family. His death has left us shattered and grief-stricken. Nothing will ever replace having him here with us.”

Detectives Baffled as Killer Claims Self-Defence

Detective Chief Inspector Chris Wood expressed shock at the vicious nature of the attack and confusion over the motive.

“Jaden was chased and stabbed 12 times in a brutal assault. Despite an extensive investigation, we still don’t know why Koutouan attacked him,” said DCI Wood.

“At court, Koutouan falsely claimed self-defence, a story the jury firmly rejected.”

“We salute the resilience of Jaden’s family through this harrowing trial. We hope the verdict brings them some comfort.”

Koutouan remains in custody and is due to be sentenced on 3 March at Croydon Crown Court.
