Serial Burglar Busted in Westminster
Michael Daulat, 39, a homeless career criminal, has been locked up for eight months after a spree of ruthless shop break-ins in London’s West End.
Smash and Grab Spree
- Daulat hit shops in St. Christopher’s Place and New Cavendish Street, smashing windows and stealing thousands in designer goods.
- His loot included £140 worth of clothes in August 2019, more than £2,800 in January, and a whopping £3,000 worth of luxury items in February.
Snared by CCTV and Forensics
After the brazen crimes, the Central West BCU Burglary Unit tracked Daulat using CCTV footage and forensic clues. He was pinched on 28 February and quickly pled guilty.
Detective Sergeant Pete Lower said: “This is an example to our businesses and community that burglary and theft will absolutely not be tolerated. Those committing such offences can expect to be arrested and put before the courts.”
Daulat was also caught breaching a criminal behaviour order banning him from Westminster, pushing his crimes to a whole new level of defiance.
Westminster businesses can breathe easier now, but police warn: crooks like Daulat won’t get off lightly.
