Brutal Attack in Bristol Ends in Life Sentence
Paul Warren, 25, from Old Town, Bristol, has been jailed for life after a vicious assault left a man dead.
Terrifying Street Attack
On January 27, 2022, Warren violently attacked 54-year-old Martin as he walked home along Beechcroft Road. Martin was left bleeding and battered in the street.
Tragic Aftermath
Hours later, an off-duty paramedic spotted Martin while heading to work. The paramedic rushed him to hospital in his own car. Despite efforts to save him, Martin died 11 days after the attack.
Justice Served
Warren first pleaded guilty to robbery. He later admitted to murder at Bristol Crown Court. On July 20, the judge slammed him with a life sentence, demanding he serve at least 20 years behind bars.
He also received a four-year sentence for robbery, to run at the same time.
Warren’s brutal crime and harsh sentence send a clear warning to violent offenders across the city.
