Suspect in custody after terrifying incident
Sajjit Miah, 40, from Old Church Road, E1, was charged on Thursday, 5 January following a shocking knife scare. He appeared in custody at Thames Magistrates’ Court the same day.
Remand set ahead of Crown Court sentencing
Miah was remanded for sentencing at Snaresbrook Crown Court, scheduled for Thursday, 2 February.
Knife threat causes alarm at mosque
Police rushed to Ford Square, E1, just after 12:30pm on Tuesday, 3 January, following reports of a man brandishing a knife outside a mosque. Thankfully, no one was hurt in the chilling stand-off.
