14-Year-Old Girl Dies After Arson Attack at London Block of Flats

A deadly blaze sparked by an arsonist has claimed the life of a 14-year-old girl and left five friends injured in a terrifying attack on a block of flats.

Petrol Poured Through Letterbox

Friends of the victim revealed that the fire started when petrol was poured through the building’s letterbox, igniting the horrific blaze.

Teen Suspect Released on Bail

A 16-year-old boy, initially arrested on suspicion of murder, has been released on bail as police continue their investigation.

Police Appeal for Information

Chief Superintendent Simon Crick, leading the inquiry, said: “Our thoughts are with the family of the victim. Anyone with concerns or information should speak with local officers.”

The post-mortem and formal identification are set to take place on the evening of Saturday, 8 April. The injuries to other victims are not life-threatening.
