Shock at Keyworth Health Centre after man threatens staff and smashes reception

Threats Made Before Vandalism

Chaos erupted at Keyworth Health Centre in Bunny Lane on Wednesday afternoon. A man reportedly made telephone threats to staff before turning up and causing damage to the reception area at around 3:30pm.

Man Arrested and Charged

Benjamin Statham, 31, from Beech Avenue, Keyworth, was arrested shortly after the incident. He faces charges of malicious communications and criminal damage linked to the attack.

Awaiting Court Appearance

Statham has been released on bail ahead of his hearing at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on 5 May.

Police Take Threats Seriously

PC Amy Billington of Nottinghamshire Police said, “Allegations of threats toward front line health service staff are treated seriously.” She added that the investigation led to swift charges in connection with the incident.
