Man, 21, Charged With Murder at East London Care Home
Rolando Torres-Pena, 21, formerly of Carson Road E15, is set to appear at Thames Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 5 January. He was arrested after a horrific incident at a care facility in East London.
Early Morning Tragedy at Glen Road Care Home
Police were called at 3.45am on Tuesday, 3 January, following reports of a man injured at an adult care facility on Glen Road, E13. Officers and ambulance crews found a 34-year-old man with serious head injuries.
Despite desperate attempts to save him, the man was pronounced dead at the scene. A post-mortem revealed he died from compression of the neck.
Suspect in Custody
Torres-Pena was arrested on suspicion of murder at the care home. Both he and the victim were residents at the facility. He remains in custody ahead of his court date.
Police Appeal for Information
Specialist officers are supporting the victim’s next of kin. Police want anyone with information to come forward urgently.
