Paedophile Jailed for Six Years Over Historic Child Sex Abuse
Alan Kenneth Jerrim, from Wykeham Road, Netley Abbey, was locked up for six years after being found guilty of shocking child sex offences dating back to the late 1970s and early 1980s. The offender was convicted at Winchester Crown Court on 26 July for multiple counts of indecent assault and assault by penetration against two girls under 13.
Historic Abuse Spanning Four Years
The vile offences took place between 1979 and 1983 at a home on the Pylands Estate in Hamble. Jerrim’s crimes involved four counts of indecent assault and one count of assault by penetration against the young victims. On 2 September, the court sentenced him to six years behind bars plus an additional 12 months on extended licence.

“We hope that today’s sentencing brings some closure to Jerrim’s victims,” said Police Constable Nicole Houghton of Hampshire Constabulary’s Amberstone Unit. “Their courage in coming forward allowed us to bring this serial sexual offender to justice.”
