Four Arrested After Brutal Crawley Street Attack

Sussex Police have swooped on four suspects following a savage assault in Crawley.

On Sunday, 20 September, around 9.30pm, a man in his 40s was ambushed on Broadway by a group of young adults. He was punched and kicked, suffering serious injuries before being rushed to hospital.

Suspects Held on Serious Charges

  • An 18-year-old Crawley man arrested for grievous bodily harm (GBH) with intent, now on bail until 23 October.
  • Another 18-year-old, also from Crawley, faces GBH with intent and possession of cannabis charges. Released on bail until 22 October.
  • A 17-year-old boy arrested on suspicion of GBH with intent, currently on bail until 24 October.
  • A 19-year-old Crawley man held for wounding with intent, released on bail until 22 October.

Police Appeal for Witnesses

Sussex Police urge anyone who saw the attack or has any information to come forward. Contact them online or call 101 quoting Operation Burgate.
