Izzet Eren, 39, a Turkish national, was caught in Chisinau, Moldova on Thursday, 26 May. Extradition proceedings are now underway to bring him back to the UK.

From UK Prison to Runaway in Turkey

Eren was jailed in the UK in 2015 for firearms offences. In August 2019, he was moved to a prison in Turkey but vanished just a month later, escaping custody.
