Victim Left Fighting for Life After Midnight Attack
Emergency services raced to a flat in Dalby Square, Margate, in the early hours of Friday 11 February 2022. A man had suffered serious stab wounds and was rushed to a London hospital, where medics fought to save his life.
Sharpened Metal Rod Used in Attack
Witnesses told police the victim was viciously attacked with a sharpened metal rod. Their statements helped officers identify Wallace as the attacker. He was arrested the very next day.
Detective Warns Wallace is Dangerous, Crime Could Have Been Worse
“This was a shocking attack and we could very easily have been dealing with an even more serious crime,” said Detective Constable Samantha Lewis of East Kent CID.
“Wallace’s actions have shown him to be an extremely dangerous man. I’m pleased he was caught quickly, convicted, and taken off the streets of Margate.”
The motive remains unclear, but witnesses suggest Wallace held a grudge against the victim. The attack has rocked the Margate community and highlights the dangers lurking nearby.
