Brutal Head Stamp Leaves Man with Fractured Eye Socket and Finger
Violent Assault Rocks Ramsgate High Street
James Beaumont, 19, from Lancaster Road, Canterbury, viciously stamped on a man’s head on Saturday, 12 February 2022. The savage attack left the victim with a fractured eye socket and fractured finger.
Kent Police rushed to Ramsgate High Street around 9pm to find the injured man, who was immediately taken to a local hospital for treatment.
CCTV Captures Shocking Attack – Beaumont Arrested
Just 20 minutes after officers arrived, Beaumont was arrested. CCTV footage clearly showed the brutal assault, sealing his fate. He was charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
Three Years Inside for Beaumont
Beaumont pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing. On Friday 27 May 2022, he was sentenced to three years in a Young Offenders’ Institute.
Police Praise Sentence, Warn Violent Offenders
“The victim suffered serious injuries in a completely unprovoked attack,” said investigating officer PC Joshua O’Donnell. “He has since recovered, but the impact will stay with him forever. I am pleased Beaumont is now behind bars. This sentence reflects the severity of his actions and sends a clear message: violent offenders will be dealt with robustly.”
